High-quality Production Control

Our entire production facility in Gnosjö is built with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. This gives us a competitive advantage in terms of high efficiency in production. The number of robots is equal to the number of employees. This means that we have often seen our customers move production from LCC back to Sweden. Holmgrens developed very strongly during the first decade of the 2000s. We were then given the opportunity to build brand new premises. In connection with this, we were also able to introduce a completely new and modern way of working in the factory. With automated and computerized plastic raw material systems, we maximize our raw material handling. A completely newly developed cooling and tempering system for machines and tools integrated with the property's heating system means that we use energy twice, first in production and then for heating. For efficient tool management and quick changes in production, we have a comprehensive traverse system built into the property. With this system we handle tools up to 10 tonnes. Our MPS system, developed in the US solely for plastic production, gives us the opportunity to have 24-hour control throughout the process from order, material procurement, production and assembly to delivery.

Plastic production has endless possibilities. There are many different techniques with which you can develop the functionality and properties of the finished part already in the first stage of production. We have the majority of technicians in the house.

Injection molding 1 component

The core of our business is contract manufacturing of injection molded plastic articles. For several years we have been a direct supplier to the end customer. A well constructed and incorporated production and logistics systems are a prerequisite for this confidence. The system ensures that we can take full responsibility for delivery monitoring, final assembly, packaging and distribution to end customers.

Injection molding 2-component (double casting)

Holmgrens has been producing 2-component parts since 1995. The many years of experience with this method are valuable when assessing new projects. Our material expertise combined with tool knowledge are important parameters for realizing our customers' ideas in 2-Komp. For 2-component production we have in syringes from 200 to 600 tonnes.

In mould labeling (IML)

A technique where a printed message in a picture or text is embedded in the article. We mainly specialize in the manufacture of products where the decoration should be durable. This applies to both small and large details. We have developed the fully automatic production process, which is very cost-effective, together with foreign card printing companies.

Metal insert

A technique where a piece of metal is cast into the injection molded article. In most cases, production takes place with a high degree of automation, which places extreme demands on precise robot movements. Together with talented partners, we have developed efficient production processes. In this type of production we have extra great advantage of our solid knowledge in tool design and our contacts with talented tool makers in both Sweden and China.

1-component PUR extrusion

We were first in Scandinavia with 1-component PUR production. A new technology that greatly reduces start-up costs and discounts. The technology is especially suitable for sealing, damping and gluing, on products where the surfaces are not even or where the seal is to be laid along irregular lines. The most common process is two-component PUR production where polyol and isocyanate react with each other by direct cross-linking. In 1-component manufacturing, the isocyanate is encapsulated and the chemical reaction takes place by heating in an oven where the temperature is the catalyst that releases the isocyanate and creates the cross-linking. Keeping the isocyanate encapsulated makes the process considerably more environmentally friendly.

laser Marking

Laser printing is an excellent method for sustainable labeling and decoration of components and entire products in plastic as well as metal. We laser print details both fully automatically in production cells and in connection with assembly.
