24/7 Production Control

Our factory in Gnosjö is designed and built to bring us the most effective production process. Holmgrens Plast has always strived to be in the frontline of the modern technologies and techniches that are on the market.  For example: the number of robots are equal to the number of moulding machines. This gives us a competetive advantage in terms of high efficiency in our productionprocess.  We have often seen customers moving their production from LCC back to Sweden. Holmgrens had a very stong growth during the first decade of the 2000s. We were then given the opportunity to build a new factory. The company are completely monitored by a real time MRP system that among a lot of gadgets also has a completely automated raw material system.
To reduce the pressure from our company to the earth, we have connected the temperature system for all injection moulding machines to the facilities heating system and it allows us to keep the office warm with the heat that is produced in the production.  For efficient mould management and quick set ups in the production, we have a traverse built into the facility. The travers are able to handle tools up to 10 tonnes. Our MRP system, developed in the US excluesivly for plastic production, gives us the advantage to have control of the complete process 24/7. From the customers order, material monitoring and purchasing, productionplanning, assembling and packaging to delivery of the finnished gods.

production techniques

Plastic production, the opportunities are endless! There are so many different techniques which you can develop the functionality in the finished part already in the first stage of production. We have a lot of different of technics in the house.

Injection molding 1 component

The core of our business is contract manufacturing of injection molded plastic articles. For several years we have been a direct supplier to the end customer. A well constructed and incorporated production and logistics systems are necesary for this confidence. The system ensures that we can take full responsibility for delivery monitoring, final assembling, packaging and distribution to end customers.

Injection molding 2-component (double casting)

Holmgrens has been producing 2-component parts since 1995. The many years of experience of this method are high valuable when assessing new projects. Our material expertise combined with mould knowledge are important parameters for realizing our customers' ideas in 2-Komp. For 2-component production we have moulding machines from 200 to 600 tonnes.

In mould labeling (IML)

A technique where a plastic folie with a personalized print is moulded into the article. We mainly specialize in the manufacture of products where the decoration should be durable. This technic is appliable on both small and large products. Together with foreign printing companies we have developed a fully automatic production process which is very cost-effective.

Metal insert

A technique where a piece of metal is moulded into the plastic part. In most cases, production takes place with a high degree of automation, which has extreme demands on precise robot movements. Together with talented partners, we have developed efficient production processes. In this type of production we have extra great advantage of our solid knowledge in mould design and our contacts with talented mould makers in Sweden and in China.

1-component PUR extrusion

We were first in Scandinavia with 1-component PUR production. A new technology that greatly reduces start-up costs and discounts. The technology is especially suitable for sealing, damping and gluing on products where the surfaces are not even or where the seal is to be laid along irregular lines. The most common process is two-component PUR production where polyol and isocyanate react with each other by direct cross-linking. In 1-component manufacturing, the isocyanate is encapsulated and the chemical reaction takes place by heating in an oven where the temperature is the catalyser that releases the isocyanate and creates the cross-linking. Keeping the isocyanate encapsulated makes the process considerably more friendly to the environment.

laser Marking

Laser printing is an excellent method for sustainable marking and decoration of components in plastic as well as metal. We print details both automatically in production cells and manually.
